Now I'm studying Journalism in the Universidad of Chile, and I have some changes that could be made to my study programme, even if this has be changed two years ago. One of the most important change for me is about technology. Our society has changed a lot in the last ten or fifteen years: think in the 90's, and you will see the changes. The smartphones and the virtual era transform the way that people socialize. In our field, the communication, the technology create new platforms and is important to know how use this. Even if we have some courses about that, I think they are not enough. Another change that I want is that we need more requirement in the courses. Now, you can approve even if you don't read the lectures or go to the classes. The evaluation ways are too easy, I think. This summer, my idea is to work during the months of December and January, in order to generate some income and save up some money. With this money, I would like to travel in February, however, I still haven’t decided where I will go. I would like to get a job working as a waiter, since I have done it before and the salary is good. One of my options for February is to go to the south of Chile, and visit my father who lives in Los Ángeles, and then continue further south until Frutillar, where I would stay in a friend’s house. From there, the idea is to visit different places that are close by, such as Puerto Varas, Puerto Octay, Llanquihue Lake, the Calbuco Volcano, among others. The idea of this trip is to go with a group of six or seven friends, and we hope to achieve it because we have been planning it for three years. Since I can remember, football has been my favourite hobby ever. I love to play football with my friends in my neighborhood, in university or wherever I can, because I really enjoy playing. I also like to watch football games of the Chilean tournament and around the world, and I try to watch as many as I can. I can´'t remember the first time that I played football, but I remember the first time I went to the stadium. It was in February of 1998, and the match was between Universidad de Chile and Talleres de Córdoba. Since that match I got used to it, and I started going to the stadium every weekend with my father, but now I generally go with some friends and my little brother. The downsides of football are the mafia and the business behind the games, being one of the industries that move more money in the world. Once I have finished my undergraduate degree, I would like to do a Masters in internal communications or strategic communications (or both). I think that nowadays, having only undergraduate studies is not enough, since the workplace obliges professionals to specialize in their field, and that is why I would like to continue studying. The reason why I would like to study internal communications or strategic communications is because I want to work in this field professionally, hopefully in a foundation or a firm where I am interested in their line of work. I think that being part of the communications department in an institution that you feel is of value would allow me to do a job in accordance with my skills and attributes.  I would like to do my Masters abroad, hopefully in an English-speaking country. Since I am studying journalism, the jobs that I will have will always be related to the field of communications. I imagine that the first years of my professional life I will be working in communication strategies in a firm, a foundation, or an NGO, sitting at a desk in an office. Once I get more experience, I’d like to leave the office setting and start working independently, potentially working freelance, where I could work anywhere. In this sense, I would love to be able to travel for my job, moving around different cities and even countries. This would be my dream job, and I hope to achieve this dream someday. I would also like to keep studying once I finish my undergradu ate degree. I would like to study abroad, in particular in an English-speaking country. My favourite tv show character is Barney Stinson, from How I Met Your Mother. He is very nice, always dresses well, and always supports his friends. Without a doubt, he is my favourite character. Barney Stinson is very nice. He always tells stories that seem to stretch the truth, but they make his friends laugh and they surprise them. Morevover, he doesn’t have any problems in buying drinks for his friends or even for strangers. Barney is always well-dressed, he loves suits and wears them every day. Obviously, he has a very exclusive tailor who makes his suits, and he is always inviting those around him to start wearing suits. He even wears a suit as pijamas because he says that one must always well-dressed and ready for any occasion. Barney always supports his friends.
